Information Required from Principal Investigators

To prepare a strong, proposal-specific letter of support, Principal Investigators are asked to provide key grant and project details at least 1 week before the submission deadline. This includes the funding agency and mechanism, grant title and deadline, PI and institutional information, a brief project summary or specific aims, and a description of how mass spectrometry will be used in the proposed research. Please also indicate the types of analyses planned, the expected number of samples, any specialized workflows or instrumentation required, and the anticipated level of facility support.

Providing this information enables us to generate a clear and agency-appropriate letter that strengthens your proposal and accurately reflects the facility’s role in your research.
