Katherine Binkoski

Boston

Katherine Binkoski

Katherine is running her second Boston Marathon and is thrilled to once again represent the UMass ALS Cellucci Fund after joining the 2024 team. She runs in honor of her mother-in-law, who was diagnosed with ALS in September 2023 and passed away on Nov. 5, 2025. While her motto for the 2024 run was to #FightLikeSue, this year she’ll honor her spirit with #LiveLikeSue.

John Kelly

Worcester, Massachusetts

John Kelly

Passionate about ALS awareness since his brother-in-law’s diagnosis two years ago, John will run his third Boston Marathon this April to raise funds for research. John has served UMass Memorial Health for more than 11 years and currently holds the dual role of chief operating officer and chief nursing officer at HealthAlliance-Clinton Hospital. Outside of work and training, he enjoys running, hitting the gym, golfing, skiing and spending time with his family. His greatest joy is watching his 13-year-old son play hockey.

Paul McNeil

Worcester, Massachusetts

Paul McNeil

Paul is a close friend of the father of one of Jan and Paul Cellucci’s grandsons, Gabriel. He has completed the Boston Marathon eight times for various charities, including three runs for the UMass ALS Cellucci Fund. Paul’s employer, Andersen Windows, supports his efforts through a matching gift program.

Paul Seaver

Bellingham, Massachusetts

Paul Seaver

Paul is running his first Boston Marathon in memory of his father, Paul "Wally" Seaver, who passed away from ALS in February 2013 while Paul was in college. Over the years, Paul has honored his father’s legacy through numerous events and fundraisers, and now joins the UMass ALS Cellucci Fund team to help advance research at UMass Chan and raise awareness of ALS. Paul brings experience from managing Boston Marathon charity teams and leading nonprofit fundraising efforts. Today, he serves as the boys varsity basketball coach at Wellesley High School—the same program that his father coached when diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease.

Aimee Usera

Winchester, Massachusetts

Aimee Usera

Aimee is running the Boston Marathon in honor of her Aunt Carol, who passed away from ALS in 2024. A Boston native, Aimee grew up cheering for runners alongside her family and now shares that tradition with her three children, husband, mom and friends each year. As a researcher in the biotech field, she understands the critical role that funding, science and urgency play in advancing treatments and finding cures. This will be Aimee’s third marathon—and her chance to bring together her lifelong passions for running and research to support UMass Chan and raise awareness for ALS.
